AbbVie announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Apogee Therapeutics, Inc., significantly bolstering its clinical-stage immunology pipeline with advanced biologics engineered for enhanced efficacy and less frequent dosing.

The completed acquisition integrates Apogee’s promising pipeline assets, led by APG777 a novel, extended half-life subcutaneous monoclonal antibody targeting IL-13 being investigated for atopic dermatitis (AD) and other inflammatory indications as well as APG808, an extended half-life antibody targeting IL-4Rα. These candidates are designed to overcome current standard-of-care limitations by providing sustained target inhibition with optimized dosing intervals, such as every two to three months or longer.

The integration directly aligns with AbbVie’s long-term immunology strategy, expanding its footprint across inflammatory and dermatologic diseases while complementing its existing portfolio of established leaders, including RINVOQ® and SKYRIZI®.

With the transaction finalized, Apogee Therapeutics has ceased trading as a public company, and its operations and discovery programs will be integrated into AbbVie’s global research and development organization.
