Lupin Limited  announced the strategic spin-out of two promising oncology assets LNP7457 (PRMT5) and LNP8701 (SOS1) into Kaveri Therapeutics Inc. , a U.S.-based, clinical-stage oncology company dedicated to advancing targeted cancer therapies.

Under the agreement, Lupin’s wholly owned subsidiary, Lupin Inc., grants Kaveri exclusive rights to both programs while securing a significant equity stake in the company and providing initial seed funding. Operating as an independent entity, Kaveri will lead global clinical trials to advance these therapies for hard-to-treat solid tumors, including lung, pancreatic, ovarian, and CNS-relevant cancers.

Kaveri will be led by seasoned biopharmaceutical executives Kristi Jones as Chief Executive Officer and Dr. Robert Pierce as Chief Medical Officer. Both programs have demonstrated encouraging clinical potential, showcasing positive data at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) annual meetings in 2025 and 2026.

“The strength of these assets, combined with Kaveri’s leadership team, positions us to accelerate targeted oncology therapies and bring meaningful innovation to patients,” said Vinita Gupta, CEO of Lupin.
