Roche announced the expansion of its global technology network with the establishment of its second Digital Technology Hub in India, located in Hyderabad. Scheduled to go live in the first quarter of 2027, this new facility will operate alongside Roche’s existing site in Pune to significantly scale the company’s digital capabilities over the coming years.
The Hyderabad hub will house specialized teams delivering advanced IT services and next-generation digital solutions. It will focus heavily on critical healthcare and operational verticals, including biostatistics, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and medical safety. By expanding into Hyderabad, Roche aims to tap into the city’s deeply rooted life sciences ecosystem and exceptional tech talent pool.
According to Ramesh Durvasula, Chief Data Officer and Chief AI Officer, leveraging India’s vibrant healthcare and technology talent will allow the company to create scalable, data-driven innovations aimed at advancing core patient care. The investment reflects Roche’s long-term corporate commitment to India as a central pillar for orchestrating seamless, global digital technology solutions.
