Dr. Reddy’s and Nestlé Health Science Ltd.  announced a strategic expansion in the diabetes and obesity sector with the launch of Celevida GLP+. This specialized, science-backed nutritional solution is designed to support patients undergoing GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist therapies for Type 2 diabetes and obesity management in India

While GLP-1 therapies offer transformative results in weight loss, they often lead to nutritional gaps and a significant reduction in lean muscle mass. Celevida GLP+ is engineered to bridge this “unmet need,” providing high-quality protein and essential micronutrients to help maintain muscle mass and sustain functional health.

“GLP-1 therapies represent a significant advancement, but a clear gap remains in supporting patients beyond medication,” said MV Ramana, CEO, Global Generics at Dr. Reddy’s and Director of the JV. “As body composition changes during therapy, preserving lean muscle is critical for long-term outcomes. Celevida GLP+ offers a targeted solution that complements pharmacological treatment and supports better overall patient journeys.”

The launch reinforces the commitment of the Dr. Reddy’s and Nestlé India joint venture to bring world-class, clinically-driven nutritional interventions to the Indian market, ensuring comprehensive care for patients managing chronic metabolic conditions.
