Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, has completed its first patient transfer via its dedicated rooftop helipad, marking the formal operational launch of its integrated helicopter emergency transfer pathway. The milestone establishes a rapid-response aeromedical corridor designed to expedite critical trauma and emergency admissions across Northern India.
The integrated facility enables critically ill or injured patients flown in from distant regions to transition straight from the touchdown point into the hospital’s advanced emergency and critical-care infrastructure. By bypassing secondary ground transport from regional airports or remote landing strips, the direct pathway saves vital transit time during golden-hour medical interventions.
The Operations of the rooftop helipad complements Amrita Hospital’s multi-disciplinary emergency infrastructure, expanding its specialised critical-care reach to handle time-sensitive organ transplants, acute trauma cases, and high-risk inter-hospital transfers across the National Capital Region and neighbouring states.
