Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council Partners with IPC to Launch Dedicated “Pharmacovigilance & Medicine Safety” Web Portal

The Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council (MSPC), in a strategic collaboration with the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), announced the official launch of a dedicated “Pharmacovigilance & Medicine Safety” section on its official website.

Initiated under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the IPC and MSPC, this digital gateway aims to promote the rational use of medicines, strengthen regional adverse drug reaction monitoring, and maximize patient safety protocols across the state of Maharashtra.The new specialized section streamlines access to critical pharmacovigilance assets and regulatory frameworks, providing stakeholders with direct access and purchase links for the National Formulary of India (NFI),the latest real-time Drug Safety Alerts published under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI),Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring System (ADRMS) QR Code designed for accelerated, on-the-go ADR reporting,an updated directory of accredited Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centers (AMCs) operating across Maharashtra and multilingual ADR Reporting Forms for healthcare practitioners and consumers, available in English, Hindi, and regional vernacular languages.

MSPC leadership strongly encourages all registered pharmacists, pharmacy students, academicians, and healthcare professionals across clinical settings to utilize this portal actively to contribute toward building a safer, highly vigilant healthcare ecosystem.
