The Adani Group has received government approval to establish a state-of-the-art health city, named Adani Arogya Mandir, in New Town, Kolkata. Representing a monumental investment of at least ₹2,500 crore, the project will be developed across a 51-acre plot and marks the group’s third major integrated healthcare campus in India.

Adani Arogya Mandir will feature a world-class 1,000-bed superspeciality hospital integrated with a premier medical college. Built in strategic knowledge and technical collaboration with the US-based Mayo Clinic, the facility is designed to elevate regional medical infrastructure to international standards, introducing advanced robotic surgeries and an IT-enabled smart hospital management system.

Driven by a strong philanthropic mandate to bridge systemic gaps in healthcare, this not-for-profit initiative will reserve 50% of its beds for patients to receive entirely free treatment. Groundbreaking for the medical ecosystem is expected to commence ahead of the upcoming festive season, positioning Kolkata as a major hub for medical education, research, and cutting-edge patient care.
