Cipla Limited (announced the launch of Ciposcillo®, a next-generation oscillometer designed for the precise assessment of respiratory mechanics. This advanced device is engineered to provide early and accurate diagnosis for Obstructive Airway Diseases (OAD), including Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Unlike conventional spirometry, which requires forceful breathing tactic, Ciposcillo® assesses lung function using normal, tidal breathing. By eliminating the need for intense patient effort, the device is uniquely suited for Pediatricpatients (young children), Geriatric patients (the elderly),and Effort-limited patients who struggle with traditional diagnostic tests.

Ciposcillo® is built on US FDA-cleared technology and is both CDSCO approved and ISO certified. To ensure clinical relevance, it incorporates India-specific reference values and utilizes Z-score-based interpretation for individualized patient assessments. Its portable design and user-friendly interface allow clinicians to deliver high-quality care across diverse healthcare settings.

“Innovation is central to how we address patient needs—from therapies to diagnostics,” said Achin Gupta, MD and Global CEO of Cipla. “With Ciposcillo®, we are bringing advanced technology closer to clinicians and enabling a simpler, effort-independent approach that improves lung health outcomes across all age groups.”

This launch reinforces Cipla’s mission to transform respiratory health by expanding its diagnostic toolkit in high-burden disease areas.
