AIIMS Patna Declared as Centre of Excellence for Rare Diseases by MoHFW

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna was declared as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Rare Diseases under the National Policy for Rare Diseases (NPRD), 2021 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Hereby AIIMS Patna becomes another CoEs to provide advanced diagnosis, prevention and treatment for patients affected by rare diseases reaffirming the Government’s commitment towards uplifting the infrastructure of tertiary healthcare. This is a promising step towards safeguarding public healthcare.

With this move AIIMS Patna is endorsed with responsibilities to continue their work towards providing sufficient aid in the nation-wide fight against rare words.
