Bharat Technology is set to organise BT-PHARMACON 2K26, an ANRF-sponsored national conference on September 26–27, 2026, at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Kolkata.
The conference will be held under the theme “Pharmaceutical Innovation for Atmanirbhar Bharat: Indigenous Technologies, Affordable Healthcare and Translational Research.” It aims to bring together academicians, researchers, pharmacists, industry professionals, regulators and students to discuss emerging developments and opportunities across pharmaceutical sciences.
The event is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India, with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association as the association partner. The conference brochure lists the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, as the organising body.
Adding further significance to the conference, BT-PHARMACON 2K26 will welcome the presence of senior leadership from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The distinguished dignitaries joining the conference include Dr. Montu M. Patel, President, Pharmacy Council of India; Dr. Deependra Singh, Chairman, Education Regulation Committee (ERC), Pharmacy Council of India; Shri Dharmendra Singh, Executive Member, Pharmacy Council of India; and Shri Jashubhai Hirabhai Chaudhari, Vice President, Pharmacy Council of India.
The presence of such senior PCI leadership is set to make BT-PHARMACON 2K26 a significant platform for pharmaceutical education, regulatory dialogue, professional development and the future of pharmacy in India, bringing together key voices from the regulatory, academic, research and industry ecosystem.
Key focus areas include indigenous drug discovery and development, next-generation formulations and nanobiotechnology, biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars, quality and drug regulatory sciences, herbal technology and natural products, digital health and AI in pharma, green pharmacy, antimicrobial resistance and rural healthcare.
The two-day programme will feature keynote lectures, plenary sessions, panel discussions, industry-academia networking, an India Pharma Expo session, and oral and poster presentations. Awards will also recognise outstanding student and research contributions.
Distinguished speakers listed include Dr. A. Ramkishan, Deputy Drugs Controller (India), CDSCO; Prof. (Dr.) Pulok Kumar Mukherjee, Jadavpur University; and Dr. Susanta Mondal, TCG Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd., among other experts from academia, industry and regulatory bodies.
A major academic attraction of the conference is the opportunity for researchers and participants to disseminate their work through the conference abstract and presentation platform. As announced by the organisers, all accepted abstracts will be published in a Scopus-indexed journal, providing an additional academic dissemination opportunity for participating researchers.
