AIG Hospitals has unveiled plans to invest ₹2,000 crore over the next five years to build a state-of-the-art super-specialty healthcare and research campus at Yendada in Visakhapatnam. Spanning nine acres, the integrated facility will significantly boost the regional healthcare infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
The greenfield project is designed for phased execution to rapidly address growing patient demand. Phase 1 (Targeted October 2028) involves the construction of two hospital towers accommodating 650 beds with advanced critical care and diagnostic wings.Phase 2 adds a further 350 beds, bringing total inpatient capacity to 1,000 beds with infrastructure equipped to serve approximately 5,000 outpatients daily.
Beyond quaternary clinical services, the campus will serve as an academic and technological center of excellence. The development master plan incorporates a dedicated nursing college, a paramedical training institute, an auditorium, an advanced medical research laboratory, and a specialized artificial intelligence center focused on digital health and predictive diagnostics.
The multi-year investment underscores AIG Hospitals’ strategic commitment to expanding tertiary care access, medical education, and high-end clinical innovation across coastal Andhra Pradesh and neighboring regions.
