MINISTER PIYUSH GOYAL MEETS INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS: DISCUSSES NEED FOR PHARMA INNOVATION AND R&D

 In a strategic engagement with senior representatives from India’s pharmaceutical industry recently Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry today discussed strengthening research and development and enhancing global competitiveness. 

He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment, under the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” and “Make in India” for the World vision, to bolster India’s leadership in the global healthcare value chain, as noted in his post on X  handle.

The minister also added- in driving sustainable growth for long term, innovation and R&D plays a pivotal role which will not only address challenges such as impending reciprocal tariffs but will also shape India’s future in Pharma exports. He encouraged stakeholders to engage in strengthening collaboration between government, industry, and academia to ensure India’s pharma sector continues to deliver high-quality products globally.
