INDIA EXPANDS COVID-19 VACCINE APPROVALS: SAFEGUARDS PUBLIC HEALTH

In a recent public notice, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) issued an updated list for COVID-19 Vaccines for manufacture, sale, and distribution in the country, further fortifying its commitment towards a safer country and epidemic resilience. The expanded approvals cover primary to booster doses via different routes of administration providing vaccines for a wider range of age groups from children to adults. 

 Few such vaccines which were featured in the public notice were COVISHIELD, COVAXIN , iNCOVACC etc ensuring diverse, accessible, and scientifically validated choices for citizens.

This essential step towards safeguarding public health, India’s vaccination drive, enhances protection across nations and supports sustained immunity against COVID-19. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) urges all eligible citizens to receive their vaccinations as per protocol.
