The two-day 10th National Summit on Innovation and Inclusivity, organised under the National Health Mission (NHM), concluded with a strong emphasis on evidence-based reforms, inclusive healthcare delivery, and system-wide strengthening through the findings of the 17th Common Review Mission (CRM). Held from April 30 to May 1, the summit brought together States and Union Territories to showcase scalable best practices while aligning regional strategies with national healthcare priorities.

The 17th CRM, conducted across 17 States in November 2025, highlighted notable progress in the operationalisation of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, expansion of comprehensive primary healthcare, and growing adoption of digital health solutions under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Key improvements were observed in maternal and child healthcare, non-communicable disease screening, and teleconsultation platforms that are expanding access to underserved populations.

Deliberations also identified critical priorities for the next phase of NHM reforms, including optimized human resource deployment, improved availability of essential drugs and diagnostics, stronger referral systems, and enhanced outreach in remote areas. The summit reaffirmed the government’s commitment to cooperative federalism, data-driven governance, and resilient public health systems designed to deliver equitable, affordable, and future-ready healthcare for all.
