AIIMS Patna and the State Health Society (SHS) Bihar have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a standardized, statewide emergency healthcare network across Bihar. The agreement was executed by Brinda Lal (Joint Secretary, SHS Bihar) and Prof. Dr. Prashant Kumar Singh (Medical Superintendent, AIIMS Patna), in the presence of Executive Director Prof. (Brig.) Dr. Raju Agarwal. Key witnesses present during the ceremony included Dr. Jayati Srivastava and Yukta Singh from SHS Bihar, alongside Nilotpal Bal, Dr. Divendu Bhushan (Head, Emergency Medicine), and Dr. Jyoti Prakash (Head, General Medicine & Registrar Academics) from AIIMS Patna.
Operating on a structured hub-and-spoke model, AIIMS Patna will function as the apex resource center mentoring 13 regional medical colleges and peripheral healthcare facilities across the state. The strategic partnership introduces uniform triage systems, standardized clinical protocols, and mandatory pre-transfer stabilization procedures to optimize care during the critical “Golden Hour” for trauma, cardiac, and obstetric emergencies.
To ensure seamless execution, the initiative leverages advanced simulation training, tele-ICU support, and digital learning platforms to elevate healthcare standards and transform emergency survival rates statewide.
