Cipla Limited and Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited (SBP Group) announced that SBP Group’s subsidiary, Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (CTTQ), has entered into an exclusive license and supply agreement with Cipla for Rolditamig Deuderuxtecan (TQB2102). TQB2102 is a potential best-in-class next-generation HER2 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) independently developed by SBP Group.
Under the agreement, Cipla secures exclusive rights to develop and commercialize TQB2102 in India, South Africa, and five other emerging markets. Cipla will manage local clinical development, regulatory affairs, and commercialization across the licensed regions, while CTTQ will oversee drug manufacturing and supply.
TQB2102 is designed to bind simultaneously to the ECD II and ECD IV domains of HER2, utilizing a cleavable linker and a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload. This dual-epitope mechanism enhances receptor cross-linking and endocytosis efficiency, offering distinct therapeutic potential in patients with HER2-low advanced breast cancer and overcoming the limits of conventional single-target ADCs. The asset has received three Breakthrough Therapy Designations from China’s NMPA Centerfor Drug Evaluation and is being evaluated across HER2-positive/low breast, colorectal, and biliary tract cancers.
