A multi-day operation by the Drug Control Department in Howrah has led to the seizure of a large quantity of medicines from a godown reportedly linked to the family of local political leader Kailash Mishra. The raid, which continued for nearly three days, was carried out by drug control officials as part of an ongoing investigation into the storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
During the operation, authorities confiscated several cartons containing commonly used medicines and collected samples for detailed laboratory testing. Officials have stated that the seized products will undergo quality and authenticity checks to determine whether they comply with regulatory standards.
At present, no official confirmation has been issued regarding the nature or quality of the medicines. The investigation remains underway, and authorities are awaiting laboratory results before drawing any conclusions.
Further action is expected based on the findings of the analysis and regulatory review.
