Over the past decade, AMTZ has evolved into a cornerstone of India’s medical technology landscape, empowering homegrown technologies and significantly reducing reliance on imported medical equipment.
Established as a world-class, 270-acre dedicated MedTech ecosystem in Visakhapatnam, AMTZ LTD has redefined medical equipment manufacturing in the region. By offering state-of-the-art common scientific testing, prototyping, and manufacturing facilities under one roof, the zone has dramatically lowered entry barriers for innovators, nurturing over 100 healthtech startups and housing specialized hubs such as the BioValley Incubation Council and the Kalam Institute of Health Technology.
Beyond empowering local entrepreneurs, AMTZ played a crucial national role during critical health crises by rapidly scaling the indigenous production of RT-PCR kits, ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and other life-saving equipment.
