Eli Lilly and Company  announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, delivering worldwide revenue of $23.0 billion,a 48% increase compared with the same period last year. Growth was driven primarily by strong volume demand for key incretin medicines, Mounjaro and Zepbound.

For Q2 2026, reported net income reached $7.1 billion ($7.94 per share), while non-GAAP net income rose 32% to $7.5 billion ($8.38 per share). Results for the quarter included $3.03 per share in acquired in-process research and development (IPR&D) charges, largely stemming from strategic business development transactions. Worldwide Mounjaro revenue expanded 91% to $9.9 billion, while U.S. Zepbound revenue grew 46% to $4.9 billion.

“Lilly’s momentum continues, as we delivered 48% revenue growth and raised our full-year guidance,” said David A. Ricks, Lilly chair and CEO. “With our next-generation weight-loss medicine retatrutide and its complete clinical data package in hand, new manufacturing capacity coming online, and exciting new assets entering our pipeline, Lilly’s future has never been brighter.”

Reflecting sustained commercial performance, Lilly raised its 2026 full-year revenue guidance to between $85.0 billion and $87.0 billion. Updated full-year non-GAAP EPS is projected at $35.50 to $36.50, incorporating $2.78 per share in underlying business growth offset by second-quarter IPR&D charges.

During the quarter, Lilly completed clinical data packages for retatrutide across obesity, obstructive sleep apnea, and knee osteoarthritis pain, with plans to submit a U.S. Biologics License Application in Q1 2027. Additionally, Lilly closed acquisitions of Orna Therapeutics, Ajax Therapeutics, CentessaPharmaceuticals, and Kelonia Therapeutics, while committing an additional $4.5 billion to expand its Indiana manufacturing capacity.
